About Us

Welcome to CancerBears.com!

Hi, I’m Alivia Gustman. I am now twelve years old, and I’m proud to be the Chief Bear Officer (CBO) of CancerBears.com, a nonprofit I started after my mom was diagnosed and fought through her battle with breast cancer. The idea for Cancer Bears began as a virtual school project back in 2020, and has grown into something truly meaningful to my family and those who receive a bear, showing we care!

When my mom was going through her treatments, I felt sad and helpless. I wanted to do something to support her and others facing cancer, so I created CancerBears.com. What started as a small project has turned into a way to bring comfort and hope to people around the world.

With the help of my sister Savannah, mom and dad, CancerBears.com creates soft, lovable bears designed to brighten someone’s day. But we’re about more than just cuddly bears. Our mission is to raise money to support cancer research, fund important charities, and bring smiles to as many faces as we can.

We believe in giving back! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we proudly partner with charities across the country and we want to hear from you. If there’s an organization that’s close to your heart, let us know so we can support them together.

Our goal is simple: to make a difference in the fight against cancer while spreading kindness, joy, and hope. Whether it’s by raising funds or sending a bear to someone in need, we believe that even the smallest act of kindness can have a big impact.

If there’s a little one in your life who could use a bear to lift their spirits—or if you’re interested in partnering with us—we’d love to hear from you. We are here to help!
